平明騎馬入宮門。
卻嫌脂粉污顏色，
淡掃蛾眉朝至尊。

The Duchess of Guo State 
           Received the Emperor's grace.
At daybreak, through the palace gate, 
           She rode to see the royal place.
Lest make-up should her charms abate, 
           She scorned to rouge her face.
Her eyebrows faint she did delineate 
           To captivate the chief of the superior race.
